In most instances, it has been noticed for many years that the default IP address of the WIFI routers is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. The gadgets being utilized by most of the users to connect with the WIFI routers can recover the IP address. Yet for some of the situations because of some reasons. To Find the D’link router login IP Address:

D-Link Firmware update steps

- Type the default IP 192.168.0.1 address carefully in the search bar of the web browser.
- On the next page, an authentication dialogue box will prompt you for the username and the password of the Dlink login.
- The default username is Admin, and the default password will be left blank. Username and password are case sensitive and must be mentioned on the label of your router just underneath the Dlink wireless router.
- Router Login home Screen will appear after the Dlink router login page. Here you have to check for the latest firmware update. If you do not see the firmware upgrade prompt, go for the manual update process.
- Tap or click the ADVANCED tab > then Administration > then Router Update. And then, click on the firmware update section.
- Tap the option “check for new version firmware, and get the latest firmware version from the download centre.
Wait for the upgrade process to complete and to reboot the router. If any error occurs in the firmware update process, connect your Ethernet cable to the router and the computer, and then perform the manual Firmware update process again. Do not unplug or power off the router during the upgrade process.
Connecting the D-Link router to the Internet

DSL users who have a modem and a router (combo) –
It is the best way to use PPPoE and check if your ISP has provided you with the PPPoE credentials or not. If not, then you can request them for the same. If they do not provide customer support for your router, you should place your D-Link router behind the modem/router from the ISP. You would have to set your router in Bridge or DMZ mode to connect to the internet.
Users who have Cable/Fiber router or modem –
If the user has a modem, they can connect the D-LINK router conveniently. You might have been required to reboot the modem after connecting to your D-Link router. If you have a modem/router combo with the Fiber cable connection, you will have to set your router in the bridge mode or DMZ mode.
If your internet service provider has not provided you with the PPPoE credentials, then you should initiate to set up your current router in bridge mode. In the bridge mode, your router will not remain router anymore. Now, you will essentially become a dumb switch box. It has to pass through the LAN ports to get an internet connection. But here, you’ll lose the LANs. Setting up your router in a bridge mode is a different process for each WIFI router.
