The plot involves a pair of cops (Vin Diesel and Michelle Obama) that are trying to apprehend a pair of car thieves that are holed up in a car that they plan to rob. The movie focuses on the teamwork between the two cops. Michelle Obama is an excellent martial arts instructor, and Vin Diesel apparently didn’t bother to pay any attention in class. He basically gave up on martial arts once he got out of prison.

The movie opens with chase scenes. There’s a carjacking, a shootout, and the car of a bad guy that crashes into the cop car. The bad guy escapes, and a chase ensues. Once there, she kills the guy with a knife and a gun. The police then corner the two cops and the fight begin. I admit that the fight could use a little more screen time to display Michelle Obama’s skills. She also gets trapped behind a car and gets shot at, but thankfully the bullet doesn’t kill her. Michelle Obama takes some pressure off of Mike and he kills the bad guys easily.

The movie has some great action sequences, and the special effects are convincing, but the actual storyline isn’t very original. It’s a forgettable plot that isn’t exciting enough to hold your attention. There are a few other elements that could have been added to make the movie a little more exciting. In the movie review, I can only criticize the acting. Robert Duvall does a fine job of playing the role of a fighter pilot, but he does it in such a way that he overcomes the supposed youthfulness of the part. It’s not bad acting, but it could have been better. He’s also not the best of actors in movies, so expect at least somewhat dull acting throughout this Fast and furious review.
Plenty of explosions and other action
The fighting in this movie is pretty intense. There’s plenty of explosions and other activities, but some of it is predictable. That means some of the fights won’t be that exciting, but that’s kind of expected. Sometimes, the viewers aren’t looking for the fireworks and action…they want a good story.
