Facebook Shops: how it works

Until now, the closest feature to e-commerce has been the Showcase. But Facebook Shops goes much further, offering Pages the possibility to create a real online shop for free, to which users can access both from Facebook and Instagram.

Administrators then can create a shop in line with the brand’s image; A Brand is an identification symbol, trademark, logo, name, word, or phrase that companies use to distinguish their product from others—a combination …, customizing the shop layout and product presentation.

On their side, users can view the shop directly from the account – both Facebook and Instagram – of the brand, or Stories and advertisements.

Once they arrive at the store, they can browse the collection, save their favorite products, and place orders, both on the company’s website and through the platform itself.

And that’s not all. To guarantee users a shopping experience as similar as possible to that in a physical store, the platform offers them the possibility to request information by sending messages on WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct.

This way, your customers will be able to ask all kinds of questions, get support and even track their shipments.

Indeed, it would seem that Facebook is interested in inserting the possibility of making purchases directly from this messaging flow.

Another interesting novelty is represented by the Live Shopping function, which allows you to tag products within a Live broadcast on both Facebook and Instagram.

The tag will appear at the bottom of the video, and users will purchase the products with a simple tap.

How to create your shop

As anticipated, Zuckerberg’s goal is to bring local businesses and businesses closer to the world of insurance e-commerce.

It is still not yet known in which countries Facebook Shops is already active, but it may all start in the United States.

In the meantime, we can understand how each of us can create our online shop. First of all, keep in mind that Facebook itself will warn you of this possibility, directly providing you with a link to the ” Shop Builder, “an extension of the Page management tools.

Through a simple and intuitive interface, it will be possible to insert the products into the shop one by one. Or import the entire catalog directly from your e-commerce.

For this reason, Facebook is entering into important partnerships with Spotify, WooCommerce, ChannelAdvisor, CedCommerce, Cafe24, Tienda Nube, and Feedonomics.

” Starting today, we will start a phased rollout of shops for businesses around the world on Facebook and Instagram Shopping. We will start with businesses using the Instagram Shop first and expand access over the next few months. Eligible businesses will receive an email. when the shop is ready for customization “.

There is no definitive news about the launch of Facebook Shops yet. Therefore, we do not know which countries or activities will be the first to access this feature. Still, one thing is certain: this could be an interesting novelty for the platform and for all those activities interested in using it.

There will be nothing left to do but wait and then jump into the world of online sales as soon as possible. Only now, then, will we know what the benefits of this new Facebook section will be.
