University of Worcester
The University of Worcester was founded in 1948 as Worcester Teachers College. The institution was transformed in 1976 into Worcester Teachers College and again into Worcester College of Higher Education. Also, in the 1970s, the National Academic Awards Council (CNAA) approved degrees awarded by the college. So, the College graduated in 1995 from the College of Nursing and Midwifery in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. In 1997, the institution’s authority to award degrees was approved by the Private Council and its name was changed to University of Worcester College.
